Transformers Robot in Disguise (RID)/ Car Robots

Wow...its been a while now since my last post on Megatron family. I just about to receive another two Megatron. One is from Beast Machines (Mini Dragon Megatron) and the other one is G1 Action Master series. Hopefully i will receive them in good condition by end of Oct 09.

Last month i spent my night watching Robot in Disguise (RID) series (in Japan it is known as Car Robots). Thanks to one of my best friend, ateromen (Effendy) for the DVD. The RID series is one of the shortest series with only 32 episodes. Unlike G1, this series full of silly act by the Predacons. The story is about war between the Autobots lead by Optimus Prime (Fire Convoy) and Predacons, lead by the beast Megatron (Gigatron). In the middle of the series, the Decepticons joined Predacons. In Autobots team, beside Optimus there is RID Brothers (Prowl, Sideburn & X-Brawn), the Rail Racer (Midnight Express, Rapid Run & Rail Spike), the Spychangers, the Landfill (Wedge, Grimlock, High Tower & Heavy Load) and of course Ultra Magnus. While for Predacons there is only Slapper, Gas Skunk, Dark Scream and Sky Byte beside Megatron.

Talking about the origin of the Decepticons, they actually an Autobot`s member whom crash-landed on earth before the series get started. They are 6 of them, in primate form hibernating inside a sleeping capsule. When Autobots discovered their long lost brothers location and ready to meet them, the Predacons managed to intercept and take control of Autobots primates. As usual, the primate need a disguise body and for that, Megatron choose to scan a military vehicle since these type of vehicles are come with powerful weapon and cannon.

During the scanning process, Megatron blast his spark together with the primate spark in order to ensure their obedience to him. Hence, the mighty Ruination born. Scourge was the last and he scan a gas truck. To know how he gets Optimus face and mold, you guys need to watch the episode. Hehehe....

I must admit, RID got very cool transformers. That is why i end up buying it...almost complete now. Dusss.....i`m broke again. Huhu

At the moment i managed to the Predacons. Now i`m waiting for my Takara Ruination (Baldigus) to complete the puzzle. As for Autobots, currently i only have Optimus Prime, Magnus, Landfill and JRX Rail Racer. I`m still waiting my RID Brothers and spychangers.

Decepticon Leader: Hail Megatron!

This month was marked by one unfortunate event which i didnt expect could happen. The RID UM that i bought from UK was broken during shipping (Thats what seller claimed). How unlucky but that is the risk buyer like us have to take when bought item from oversea. Nevertheless, this event taught me to be more careful when dealing with oversea seller.

So, for this post i would like to share my entire set of Megatrons (which i am not a big fan of it actually but since Megatron is Prime partner along the TF series, i end up buying it)

G2 Go-Bots Optimus Prime Transparent

Guess what? finally i own a G2 GoBots Optimus Prime! This is not the typical and original G2 GoBots OP but a repaint from G2 Firecracker mold. i find it more awesome in transparent looks thats why i stop searching for the original GoBots OP. The final result not bad at all, just a few minor mess on the head since it is hard to reach the small area using paint-marker. So here i present, my version of G2 GoBots Optimus Prime ;-)

ROTF LC Optimus Prime Repaint (Hi-Res Images)

Its been a while now since my last post. I`ve been busy with some commitment at Ipoh, JB and KL last month. Nevertheless, still able to grab some gems during my trip. I`ll post it here in future post.

Back to the topic, as promised these are few Hi-Res image on my previous project. This is image on ROTF LC Optimus Prime repaint (Truck Mode). Even though Takara-tomy is just about to launch their Premium ROTF OP by end of this year 2009 but i started this project since July. At that time, no news on Premium Series. So, i guess this is vader83`s Premium version.

Finally, i manage to assemble back my ROTF Optimus Prime. Just for teasing purpose, here i posted some blurr pic on ROTF Optimus Prime (repaint) ;-)

Once all final touch up done, i will take more pics in higher resolution. Till then, enjoy the 'poison' :-p

List of Figures: Ultra Magnus

Beside Optimus Prime, i also collect Seekers, Megatron, Nemesis Prime and Ultra Magnus. Even though i am more into finding and completing my Optimus Prime but i had a chance to search for Ultra Magnus too. Some of it is just repaint version of Optimus Prime like MP-02, Classic UM and G1 Ultra Magnus cab.


I get started with Magnus after i bought Classic Ultra Magnus twinpack. At that particular time, i didnt realize the value of Classic Skywarp. I just wanted the Ultra Magnus because i cant afford to get Classic Convoy (Optimus Prime). I was thinking to sell off the Skywarp but Thank God i still own it. Hehehe...because of that Skywarp i start buying Seekers! ;-p

So, back to Ultra Magnus. Here is the list of my Ultra Magnus.

Upcoming Repaint Project....

Currently i`m waiting for G2 Go-Bots Firecracker & Blowout. In my opinion, both figure can be use for my next project which is to make a repaint G2 Go-Bots Optimus Prime & Megatron respectively. Both OP & Meg using same mold as Firecracker & Blowout. Arghh.....cant wait to have it!

Aside the transparent body the only different between these two figures is the paint scheme on their head (Please go to TFU.info for image). Thats why i think G2 GoBots Firecracker is the most suitable for Optimus Prime repaint. Same thing goes to Megatron.

Beside Firecracker & Blow-out, RID R.E.V also can be use to make GoBots OP repaint.
